Happy 13th Birthday Tyler

Really? We have an official teenager??

Where have these years gone?

Being 13 must mean 13 days of celebration...it seems like we've been celebrating all month long.

The week before Tylers birthday, Nathan was here and we went to Boondocks. It was raining most of the day, so we weren't there too long.

The Friday before his "official" birthday, we spent the day at Lagoon to celebrate with Tyler's friends Ashley, Amber, and Eli.

Everyone had a GREAT time.

On Tyler's actual birthday, Wednesday, we invited Jacob, Colton and Brandon over and spent the day at Boondocks.(when you are 13 it isn't "cool" to have your mom follow you around taking pictures of the day...)

That night, at the Court of Honor, Tyler received 2 merit badges and a rank advancement. He is received his Star rank advancement, and is now working on his Life.

Congratulations Tyler!

City of Rocks

Our Scout master (Bryce) has been keeping our scouts busy with camps. The boys recently headed to City of Rocks. They are working on their rock climbing merit badge.

Everyone had a great time!

Tyler was 1 of the 3 who took the scout master challenge to make it to the top.

Great job Tyler!

Lunch Dates!

To celebrate 15 years of working at L3(and Mother's day) Bryce took me to the Grand America buffet for lunch. Sorry there's no picture of the great buffet...you'll just need to trust us--it was great.

Happy 15 years Bryce

Happy Mother's Day Brenda

Two weeks later, We went BACK to the Grand America to celebrate my birthday!
Maybe we'll go in two more weeks to celebrate Fathers day...I think we are hooked! WE love the food- especially the desserts. I'm not a bread pudding fan--but theirs is great!

My Quick Get Away

I enjoyed a quick trip to Indiana. I went to visit my college roommate, Mary Ann and her family. 24 years ago, I went to visit her, and I always promised I'd be back. I hadn't made it back (in those quick 24 years). I decided, since their family was moving out of state, if I didnt go now it would never happen. We saw Seussical the Musical, took a walk around the canal by the city center. We were up late talking. It was a very short trip although we had a great time.

Spring Break

Tyler & I enjoyed our spring break. We started the week riding dirt bikes out at Dell. Tyler & Nathan really love the track! It sure didn't seem right to be out playing on the dirt bikes and know that Bryce was working.

Then we went with the Merrills to St. George to try to find some sun. It was cold and rainy instead of warm and sunny.

I'm sure I was the "smartest one"--sitting at the pool with my jacket on. I was freezing!

One day we climbed around at Pioneer Park.

And of course...a competitive game of miniature golf!

I was also able to spend some time with my college "foster parents". We had a great visit.

It was a nice get away!

Seasons & Sports

We love watching Tyler play sports!

Sports in our family change as quickly as the seasons do. We anticipate the season/sport, and then it's over before you know it.

Tyler finished another basketball season. He had a LOT of time to play and improve his skills (they only had 6 players on their team.) While they didn't have a winning season, he had a great time playing.

Baseball has started again and Tyler will be playing for the Athletics team.(The A's)
