April

Tyler started off his spring break in an AWESOME Way. He was able to participate in the 6th grade dance (which he was very excited for). As part of the P.E. Healthy lifestyle, they learned 10 different types of dances, the waltz, swing and others. At the end of the dance, there was a dance competition, where Tyler and his partner Nicole took 1st place!

We Celebrated Easter and watched General Conference with cousins in Preston.

We enjoyed the day with our friend Kathy who was visitng from California!

We were needing a get away, so we packed up the trailer and motorcycles and headed NORTH to a place called the City of Rocks. (In April we should have headed SOUTH.) Brenda is convinced that the City of Rocks is the coldest spot on earth.

We arrived at the same time as a cold wind storm did. Needless to say being at an elevation of 6260, in April, with a storm, was not the best combination. That would have been bearable--but our heater in our trailer wasn't working. The lyrics of the song "this is the worst trip, I've ever been on" was the theme of our dinner conversation. The wind whipped around ALL night, and we were so cold! In the morning, our trailer pipes had frozen and we had ice on the windows....(sing it with us...this is the worst trip...)

The morning was still extremely cold, but at least the wind had stopped. The boys were able to play around on some of the rocks, while Brenda sat by the stove trying to warm up.

After leaving City of Rocks, we stopped at Kelton, our favorite family motorcycle spot.

We also attended the baptism for our Niece Makayla. This is the celebration luncheon after the baptism.

We had a fun spring break

We enjoyed watching the 2010 Winter Olympics from the comforts of our family room. We had great seats and no crowds!

Tyler participated in the School Science Fair in January. His project was titled Power, "WATTS" it all about?

First he made a black box to put the light bulbs in to test the light intensity and the power usage. Then he tested various light bulbs (with his dad's help and tools)and recorded the measurements.

We know he was a winner even though the judges didn't see things the same way we did.He did an awesome job!

We celebrated Grandpa Allen's 81st birthday at our house. We had lots of food, fun and family! There was 40 of us at our home for lunch! The only thing we were lacking was a little more space!

"The "almost" triplets- KandaLee's grandchildren, Gabby, Brynlee & Penner (Gabby & Penner are the twins)

In January we attended a wedding for our nephew Drew and his wife Katie.

The best part for Tyler was being with cousins.

Summer Fun

This Summer a family reunion we hiked to the High Creek Waterfall. It was AWESOME!

We were able to have an awesome trip to Washington to see our cousins. We spent one day on the Columbia River and also visited the Lewis and Clark Museum.

MaryAnn and Brenda had an awesome time at Thanksgiving Point this summer. If you haven't been there--you need to try it out.
