Camping

We love to have Nathan come with us--whenever we go play. We are happy he was able to come camping with us for about 3 days.

That was the EASY part!

Words and photos are very inadequate! ( They don't even come close to describing the "adventure". They ARE NOTHING compared to the very difficult trail we went on. It was ROUGH!) We had a long day with plenty of challenges, tight switchbacks, road blocks, a bike that wouldn't start, and plenty of "you've got to be kidding me we're going THERE?". This adventure will be a great story to retell after the trauma is over. We learned we can do hard things.

Sue, Katie, Matt, Emilee & Addison joined us for 1 day of riding. Bryce Matt & Katie rode so fast, and so far in head of us--I didn't get pictures of them.

On our ride, Addison was falling asleep. I was finding anything I could to strap her to Sue, so she wouldn't fall off as she was falling asleep.

McCall

Our family vacation this summer included a quick trip to McCall. It was my 1st trip. What a beautiful place!

We had great company

Great food

And lots of fun!

Even though this looks like Bryce is sliding down the rock--he really did jump off the 45 foot cliff.

Tyler had a great time at the Tony Hawk skate park. He was really giving his skateboard a good workout.

We had a great time! Thanks to our Allen cousins!

Fun in the Sun

Tyler was on the All Star Baseball team. They played in the invitational tournament, and went to District. They had a great team! They were disappointed about not making it to state, Maybe next year!

After the tournament, our scouts headed for a 2 night 3 day backpacking trip to Bloomington Lake.

It was tough and maybe in a couple of weeks--they can look back and think it was tough AND enjoyable.

Happy 13th Birthday Tyler

Really? We have an official teenager??

Where have these years gone?

Being 13 must mean 13 days of celebration...it seems like we've been celebrating all month long.

The week before Tylers birthday, Nathan was here and we went to Boondocks. It was raining most of the day, so we weren't there too long.

The Friday before his "official" birthday, we spent the day at Lagoon to celebrate with Tyler's friends Ashley, Amber, and Eli.

Everyone had a GREAT time.

On Tyler's actual birthday, Wednesday, we invited Jacob, Colton and Brandon over and spent the day at Boondocks.(when you are 13 it isn't "cool" to have your mom follow you around taking pictures of the day...)

That night, at the Court of Honor, Tyler received 2 merit badges and a rank advancement. He is received his Star rank advancement, and is now working on his Life.

Congratulations Tyler!
