Summer Smiles!

What ever happened to those lazy days of summer? Our summer is flying by but we're having fun!


Tyler has been pitching for the Yankees and doing an awesome job. Our season is over.

Tyler was chosen to play on the All Star team. Yea! baseball ISN'T over for us yet!

Bryce and Tyler headed to Malta and met our cousins Brian and Kyle and Uncle Gary. They shot the rifle and enjoyed a chance to ride motorcycles at Malta AND Kelton.



They enjoyed their day!

Because Tyler was going to be at scout camp the week of his birthday, we celebrated his 12th birthday early.




We invited his friends over for a big breakfast...


Then we headed to Boondocks and spent the day there. The boys had fun!







Bryce enjoyed his Fathers Day. No (extra) church meetings, a nice breakfast, a great dinner, and time with his cousin Brian. He received an awesome shirt (if I do say so myself,)Brenda made for him, and GUILT FREE PLAY DAY coupons which he's been using since Brian has been in town. He also helped Tyler get packed for scout camp.




Early Monday morning Bryce took Tyler to the church for the scout camp departure, and Bryce and Brian headed for another motorcycle ride.(Brenda's home by herself---and 100% on Biscuit duty, bummer)

Bryce headed to scout camp on Tuesday thru Saturday. They went to Camp Tomahawk. Tyler worked hard for 6 merit badges. He enjoyed the rifle, archery and the leatherworking merit badges the most.





Saturday my scout campers came home and its great to have them home!

Shortly after they arrived, we had Brian, Susan, Sydney, Jace and Kyle stop in for lunch on their way back home to Washington. We had such a great visit with them, and the next time they come to Utah--we really hope we can connect with them again.



The next day, Sunday, was Tyler's priesthood ordination. We invited our families down for the day. We were thankful for those who were able to come! Tyler and Brenda played a piano duet in Sacrament meeting, and then Tyler was ordained to be a deacon, and then we had a great lunch at our house.






And now a month of our summer vacation is over---and for some reason it doesn't feel like summer has even arrived yet. It's going way too fast!

We enjoyed having Kevin and Emili and Preston and Dallin come to celebrate Brenda's birthday. They brought us a great dinner.


Yummy Lasagne, salad, garlic bread...






AND CINNAMON ROLLS for birthday cake! Awesome choice!

We enjoyed a great dinner, and games. Thanks Kevin, Emili, Preston, Dallin, Bryce & Tyler--for making my birthday so nice!



On my actual birthday...This is Bryce's soap art. He was up a long time after I went to sleep--wanting to surprise me. It was the 1st thing I saw on my birthday. I was surprised! Thanks Bryce! You're awesome!!!

I celebrated my birthday by taking the day off work, so I could watch Tyler participate in the 6th grade World's Fair. He did his country report on Austrailia and did a good job. Several countries were represented and there were some fun things from other countries.



He learned several dances including the Patty Cake Polka and Wooden shoes and many others.

After the Worlds Fair,on my birthday, we celebrated Tyler's (summer) birthday, in his school class.


We had cake and ice cream for their class. We had a fun day.

It will be a sad day when there's nothing on Bryce's Honey Do List. I (finally) convinced him we needed a ceiling fan in our guest bedroom. (I'm doing my part to make sure that Honey Do list continues to be the living/changing/never ending, ever-growing list)

This is BEFORE the attic work.





And AFTER...no wonder he really needed to be convinced about this Honey Do project.





FINISHED!!! He did a great job inspite of the little hitches that ALWAYS crop up when you are trying to accomplish something. Thanks Bryce. Now when you come to sleep over, you can enjoy his hard work, as you fall asleep with a gentle breeze.

Tyler was able to enjoy his last field day at the elementary school. He couldn't wait for the dunking machine.

Tyler also graduated from Elementary school. He and his class mates are very excited to be moving on to JR. HIGH.






We've had lots of good things to celebrate!

Our Action Packed weekend

Bryce and Tyler (and our neighbor Josh) enjoyed the Father and son outing in May. They left on Friday afternoon, and Tyler and Josh COULDN'T WAIT to sink some worms, and hopefully catch a fish.



What a great catch! They were SO EXCITED!!!!


Saturday morning, they went fishing again, and then cleaned up their tent and sleeping bags and headed home to pick up Brenda and the lunch items and headed out to Kelton for our Allen Family Motorcycle ride.

Kelton is one of those places you say "WE Drove ALL THIS WAY FOR THIS?



And we reply, "You BET!" or "Absolutely!"














We couldn't have asked for a more perfect spring day...then we had hours of clean up. Matt chose to have more to clean up than the rest of us. We had a great time

WE LOVE SPRING!

Baseball is into FULL SWING at our house. Tyler is one of the pitchers on the Yankees team...Actually he's the BEST pitcher in our league.(according to Mom and Dad,). He does a great job! When he isn't pitching, he plays 3rd or 1st base.




Bryce is the Assistant coach,and Brenda is the official scorekeeper...(no one else is stupid enough to say yes)





Tyler participated and graduated from the school D.A.R.E. program. (Drug Awareness Resistance Education) This is a 9 week program where the 6th graders become aware of the benefits of being drug free, and the problems that come with choosing otherwise. Good Job Tyler! We'll Always say NO to drugs!

Brenda enjoyed celebrating Mothers Day. (I love being spoiled!)

Tyler made a cute basket and flowers out of paper and a nice card. It's a very clever idea and one that took a lot of time for him to make. I'll cherish this special gift!


I'll always cherish the giver of this gift, even more!

As part of my Mothers Day present, Bryce made some YUMMY cheesecakes (the Betty Crocker homemade kind--NOT the box kind) for dinner. He did a fabulous job!





While the cheesecake didn't last long, my love for the giver of this gift will last forever!

We went to Preston for the day to spend a few minutes with our mothers and some of our extended family members. We had a nice day.


Bryce and I were working in the garden. We were pulling the weeds out and knocking the dirt off. I was gently hitting the dirt clumps against my shovel. Bryce the perfectionist he is, was shaking the dirt clumps in a hardy, profecient manner. He (accidentaly) kept flipping dirt on me. I finally said "please stop flipping dirt on me or you'll be a lone man in the garden." His response was "so is THAT what happened? Now we know the rest of the story."
